Back on track - Katie

Jesse update today!

Jesse had his 2 month post radiation follow-up. No MRI this time, just bloodwork and talking to the oncologist. Bloods came back perfect, and he's go to start his next 5/23 chemo cycle tonight. Next appointment in 4 weeks, MRI in 8! He's been cleared to resume 30 hours a week, and driving solo. We're feeling very optimistic!

Most people saw my Facebook update, but to those who didn't, things mostly turned around for me. Most importantly, my scan showed that growth is still right on track and my labs showed my estrogen level is once again perfectly correlated with where I am. However, one of my other results showed that I'm not in optimal position to receive a transfer. But that's no big deal... they can freeze all resulting embryos and transfer later when things look better.

I may have ugly cried in the bathroom for about 10 minutes. Hormones!

I'm not sad about the delayed transfer. It's actually better this way... my doctor has gotten so good at frozen transfers that he actually has more success with those than with fresh.

I do have some other things on my mind tonight that I'm not sure if I should address or just let them go. At this point in time, I feel discretion is the better part of valor. But please, address your concerns with me, TO me, in private. I will leave it to that, for now.

On that note, I have an early morning tomorrow, and a different kind of doctor is demanding my attention tonight, in the TARDIS. Allons-y.
